Some say that Lehman investment giants lost their way by narrowly tunneling after financial gain.
Others say leaders at Lehman missed key opportunities that come to those who embrace change to meet the times.
I say that a few zinger questions would have altered Lehman’s fate and likely have restored their fortune.
Imagine outstanding outcomes to Lehman leaders, for instance, had they asked:
1. What daily practices will advance our shared vision?
2. How are employees’ best capabilities developed and valued at work?
3. Where would skilled investment leaders see rejuvenation opportunities here?
4. In what ways can leadership reward ongoing innovation that improves the bottom line?
5. What ethical practices would better align workplace routines with admirable financial targets?
What question could keep your firm afloat in turbulent times?

In March, the CEO received a $22 million bonus (http://www.reuters.com/article/reutersEdge/idUSN1341059120080914).
Does anybody really believe he (or the Board or senior officers) care about the zingers as long as their own nest is feathered?
