Increasingly competitive edge workplaces find hidden advantages within human brains. People who make it in today's shifting horizons ... regularly redirect sight signals. It's a bit like refususing your camera to capture the best shot of a moving target.
You could say ... successful people deliberatley refocus their brains for better shots at success. Does that describe you?
Did you know … for instance … that you see objects differently as a result of neuron reorganization.
It’s called plasticity and it changes the human brain by creating new sign
aling routes. How does that advantage an ordinary day?
Because adult brains reshape by what people do, we can now gear up mentally for more benefits at work. Yes… real benefits.
A case study stroke patient whose brain created neural pathways, reported in the Sept. 5 online edition of The Journal of Neuroscience showed how the visual center of a man’s brain reorganized itself to compensate for damage caused by a stroke. It can also rewire against practices that hold your firm back.
Daniel Dilks and his team, at McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT researched brain based changes after damage had cut off communication between the upper left visual field and the visual cortex.
Surprisingly, they found that images appeared to be distorted in areas beneath the blind spot created by stroke damage. For instance squares looked like rectangles after the stroke. Triangles looked like pencils and circles appeared to be cigar shaped.
The new shapes affirm how adult brains tend change and grow.
Will it change your day? Since you now know the brain is shaped by what you do … and by your world, why not squeeze into your day…
1. Multiple intelligences
2. Laughter
3. A winning target you can master
4. Tone improvement if you meet a cranky client
5. Music while you work
What could your organization do to reshape your brain for a better workday? You?

Dr. Ellen;
I really love this quote from your post, "...successful people deliberatley refocus their brains for better shots at success."
I think when employers begin to train and provide tools for refocusing towards success both organization and individuals will benefit on so many levels. The economy becomes enhanced by inspiriation.
