Turn Talk into Inspired Tasks Through Questions

Imagine yourself listening to  long … intensive … conversations where words tumble into your brain as fast as rice spills into a crock pot. Ever felt bored when a person pours out more words than you can respond to from your own experience? Yes, we’ve all been there.

Life and learning is a volley that takes back and forth words – with actions question_mark%2520%28WinCE%29.jpgattached. We learn best by rolling ideas and experiences and bits of information to and fro in flexible exchanges. The brain is built to engage.  Sometimes it’s simply an acknowledgement that a point has been made … other times it’s a story back to expand on the insight from a personal perspective.

Do you ever wish you could respond to a fast talking speaker … or try out a cool new idea when it’s presented? Have you ever lost that idea afterward and then wonder why so little changes in your life.

There’s a newly discovered reason that talk overfills the listener’s working memory … which is equipped to hold small bits of information … while it attempts to use it in a problem solving way.

Why not question to turn talk into tasks that grow new dendrite brain cells

1. Ask… “What if …?” and the reader shifts into curiosity to discover, invent, apply, or research?
2.  Question … “What would it take for a better way …” and the brain slips into solution mode?
3. Inquire … “How could new discoveries alter what we do…?” and you prepare dendrite brain cells for an invigorating run to competitive edges.

Here’s the skinny:

1. Questions unlock people’s mental potential.
2. Questions upend flawed assumptions about racism and other misconceptions.
3. Question to advance your personal and professional brainpower.

I merely began to rev this motor … the steering wheel is in your hands for the journey ahead. Ready to turn talk into interactive tasks?
