follow the well accepted approaches to skills at work. Where is the room for innovation … New York Times writer, Janet Rae-Dupree asked in yesterday’s feature … Innovative Minds Don’t Think Alike. Do you ever ask the same question?
Interestingly, new brain facts show why this is so.
To learn facts and then pile on more newly discovered facts … without acting on these … is to stifle innovation that comes from change.
While it’s near impossible to create when we continue to take on more book knowledge or listen to more lectures … act on what you learn and a new door opens to create beyond the walls of knowledge that shuts out creativity.
The curse comes not so much from knowledge … but from fast flying facts … without action to put newly gained ideas and insights into practice. It’s also why Google pays its staff to create daily.
