
Don’t you love to see differences come together in ways that respect the similarities and learn from the opposite sides. In addition, I admire the life-changing lessons from people who value colleagues and friends who differ in views and backgrounds.![]()
Without a doubt, it’s easier for some than others … to tolerate specific differences they may not understand completely. We don’t have to agree with people’s perspectives in order to learn from what they offer though.
Not surprisingly, learning from opposite viewpoints is far more possible for those who rewire their brains to regularly:
1. Engage opposite points of view
2. Grow dendrite brain cells for a competitive edge
3. Problem-solve with the brain in mind
4. Rewire against Hebbian learning
5. Replace conventional diversity training
Where I work – at the MITA Brain Based Center – we benefit a great deal daily from deep differences within leaders from many fields and cultures. Amazing value comes back from rich experiences of living and working among Inuit in the High
It’s one part of brain based work Dr. Robyn Mcmaster most appreciate together.
While opposites rarely attract of their own accord – it’s also true that the human brain offers tools to bring differences together. In fact brilliant wisdom often pours in from many surprising sides. Have you seen it happen … especially when people share unique differences?










In order to learn and grow you have to touch something different from what you are. Diversity doesn't have to be much, but it has to be.
