What a find! Today I discovered Michael Neuvirth’s company … Chutzpatent … where he, “invents innovations that change the world.”
At his blog … Doctor of Invention … Michael makes innovations seem as easy as the inspiration that drives his markets. ![]()
In his book … Physician Invent Thyself … he spotlights genius at works in ordinary inventor minds.
“How do we license, sell and commercialize them?” Michael asks….
“You need a lot of chutzpa!” he answers.
We could not get a meeting with a particular company that we wanted as a strategic partner. Nothing helped, including flowers for the secretary etc.”
Finally, we built a very basic model, flew across the
Finally, after several hours, the VP licensing we wanted to meet with ushered us in to his offices . . . and the rest is history.
According to Michael Neuvirth … You really have to believe in your invention and this belief must really show when you demonstrate it, or talk about it. In fact I've been gathering new ideas all day, and will share my next invention in another post. In the meantime ... Michael's stirred my sense of wonder ... What could you invent?

That's a great story - thanks for the pointer to his sites. I love the idea of releasing our natural talent for creativity - that's one reason I help people clear their minds and get on top of their workflow. For me, that kicked off a series of personal and professional changes that frankly astounded me - lost 15 pounds, cured my insomnia, and made a breakthrough in back pain. I ended up quiting my job (15 years, great benefits), switching careers (20 years experience) and inventing a new one.
So tools and ideas to get creative... Extremely important in my opinion.
