Strokes come with falls ... or they could come without any warning or apparent reasons. Either way … brain experts tell us to stop a stroke in action … simply by asking four questions.
Remember the question … based on first three letters of the word STROKE. Why are these questions critical?
If you suspect a stroke in process … we are told … you’ve likely already headed in the direction of arresting it. How so?
Ask these questions:
S Ask the person to SMILE.
T Ask the person to TALK by responding in a simple sentence
R Ask people to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
O Ask people to OPEN THEIR MOUTHS AND STICK OUT TONGUE. If their tongue is crooked or leans to either side, a stoke may be in process.
People who cannot complete any one of these tasks could well be suffering from a stroke.
If so call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to a dispatcher.
People die daily, because symptoms of a stroke can be difficult to identify. It does not have to be that way. Fortunately, stroke victims may suffer little or no severe brain damage … simply because one person nearby recognizes the symptoms of that stroke. That person could be you.

Believe it or not, if a person takes aspirin the minute they suspect a stroke, it can begin to cut down on blood clots forming. I hesitate to say this, because I'm not a doctor of medicine, but it has been known to be effective if taken immediately.
