Secondary Schools - Tops or Toppled?

Just when many business leaders question if secondary schools are even redeemable we see some are leading the way. Do secondary schools near your home make the cut?

Today’s US News and World Report named America’s Best High Schools. Apparently they analyzed data from thousands of schools and came up with the nation's best list.
school.jpg
The top 100 schools were chosen for their unique approaches to teach future leaders. A school near me is 57th . Go Brighton High School! In fact top schools on this list deserve the gold stars they earned!

My question is … Why do so many secondary schools cling to obsolete teaching approaches – when teens’ brains are so ready for the future?

Imagine teen’s impact to the business world … if secondary schools simply ran with rejuvenated roles to develop successful as leaders, entrepreneurs, inventors, technology gurus, or sports’ managers?

Some people say it’s time to get rid of secondary schools. Recently, at a conference on the human brain, a bunch of college students and faculty asked a few fascinating questions about brains and boredom in class.

Are top secondary schools near your home asking or addressing these critical questions?  Are they tops or toppled?
