The chief way that most innovation hits the dust though … is because stubborn or sticky traditions simply stomp out growth at its roots. By the time innovation gets fed through the traditional wood chipper it often seems harder, less efficient, and more costly than planning a space ride to the moon.
Liz Strauss successfully links terrific ideas to reality and she’s been toying of how that works with ZUDE in fun ways lately. Check it out at Successful and Outstanding Bloggers. Dr. Robyn McMaster claims you have to fly high and tap more intelligences. You?

I was reading an article today in Seed Magazine about how China is having troubles innovating due to the roots in the old ways and their constant adverse judgment on taking risk.
It made me think of companies today that are fostering change through community innovation. People go to the Google campus to hang out and throw ideas around - even if they don't work there. Now there is an idea, a breeding ground for entrepreneurs and risk takers. I just wish there were more physical arenas like that where like minded people could come together.
