Can a Thought Change Your Career Reality?

When you change a thought does it change a reality too? Carl, a retail store manager told about how his work and career goals skyrocketed, after he simply decided to look at the few good qualities of a cranky supervisor.

Others claim that misery is misery, and what you think cannot change that fact. Where do you stand in this debate?

New research about the brain and about quantum physics joins the mind to related realities ... far more than many people realize. How so?

Einstein gave us one compelling picture of energy from the human brain that literally contributes to the formation of reality. General agreement exists among scientists that when we link the possibilities of the mind with the opportunities that exist in reality – both create a powerful influence on the outcomes.

5 cool possibilities for you and your workplace:

1. Learning new skills rewires the brain to see novel and unexpected opportunities.
2. The frontal lobes are hardwired to benefit people who practice inner focus.
3. Experiences we create will shape the brain for more of the same – good or bad.
4. Practice skills for good tone and you’ll soon spot poor tone that holds firms back.
5. It’s the brain not the eyes that see – so reality is based partly on your memory

Each of these above research backed realities lends support to good news that what you think rejuvenates outcomes that you will get. In the same way what you do – begins to rewire and reshape what you think.

Does that symbiotic relationship between mind and matter - change what your day could offer to you and your workplace?

Hello Ellen:

I recall early in my career a wise counsellor in England advising me to find 1 redeeming quality in a line manager that I was forever arguing with. I struggled to so, but once I was able to so, everything in our relationship changed for the better. My experience is that thoughts are things and your documented research highlight and verify this excitig reality.

Galba, your wisdom often intrigues me as it comes from risk taking in thoughtful situations -- and then reflection to alter the next moves forward. Bravo - you inspire the rest of us, once again here. Thanks Galba.

Thanks for your kind comments Ellen. Your blog has certainly helped me to better appreciate and sharpen my reflective skills.
