Is Golf Brain Based?

Dr. Robyn McMaster invited me to show pictures that put a face behind my Brain based Business blog. Ok – here’s the face but it raises a core question….

Is Golf Brain Based?

I was trying to figure out for sure how these two could be so linked – and that’s why this blog sat on the back shelf for awhile. So why post the pictures today?

When I tee off well – like I did today – golf is brain based ... all the way! When I hook, slice or sputter the ball though – it’s not – and, yes, it’s that simple. Why does it matter?

That’s my topic  – while golf is still brain based and while it fits into my 2-bits here that benefit business through brain based insights.

On a side note - it's been fun reading the list and we'd all love see snaps of your interests related to your blog too.

Thanks for launching this fun blog through pictures idea David Airey, and thanks for inviting me to take part, Robyn. Once David’s #2 update appeared – and I was nailing a few good golf shots … I knew it was my time to respond.

1. How much can you learn from a favorite cousin who’s also a golf pro? 100_0835.JPG

2. Could I throw in a few hook lines from the golf course in these invited book store talks about my latest book?
copy%202.jpg
3. Will I be able to interest my daughter and son-in-law in a few games now that they've played their first game?
copy%203.jpg
4. Could my ladies’ golf match in Faithlegg Country Club in Ireland add value to the brain based conference I led there with Robyn for medical professionals?
copy%204.jpg
5. Could Robyn – my Senior VP at MITA - and I win another Rotary District tournament if we continue to use brain based tactics on the course?
copy%201.jpg
6. Are there any better ways to enjoy my home where I prepare for brain based work and golf and then relax from both?
copy%206.jpg
7. Would it have been possible to introduce golf to the China group when we spent 6 weeks teaching brain based tactics to leaders in Chongqing on the Yangzi?
copy%207.jpg
Those are my best golf games and brain based conferences where they intersect lately. Hey … does golf bring you any brain based benefits? Tomorrow’s game might bring another answer – but for me today? A definite yes….

What pictures belong behind your blog – do jump in any carry this cool idea into your site. See your name listed below in invisible ink – waiting for a few shots that you’ll post soon….

Ellen, you truly picture here the many ways you're satisfied - golf, family and work at the MITA International Brain based Center. What a great response to your last blog, "Are You Satisfied?"

Wow -- that is so true Robyn-- Thanks - yes, my life melts quite well into these few shots!

It's fun to see what gems others call into the ring for their shots, and I hope many of my readers will jump into the frame! These are mine:-)so thanks for sharing them.

Thanks for joining in! I've tried playing golf a few times, but, as with all beginners, am utterly hopeless. Perhaps I'll take it up again when I'm no longer in football playing shape (which at my rate of injury-proneness shouldn't be too long).

Your quite the successful golfer! Well done. Great photos too.

Thanks for coming by David - and for this great idea that involves our spatial intelligence! You'd love golf if you found a coach who teaches it the way you play it best. As in any sport that differs person to person - and the best coaches use one's strengths.

Do you play football on a team? My son-in-law is just completing a PhD at the moment and he loves the game.

He played as a kid without any equipment and still seems to bear the scars - but I think he can tell you every player in anay team he's watched. I've seen him listen to one game on a radio - watch one on TV and read about another - all at the same time!

Graphic design seems like an amazing talent -- and I was so glad to find your blog through Robyn's interest! Thanks for the interactive parts of a great design! It's an honor to be a tiny part of your blog community.

How fun are you Ellen! Wonderful smile, great golf, and fun times. Thanks so much for playing along and sharing yourself in this wonderful meme David Airey started!

Thanks Phil for stopping by and joining in the golf fun. These pics are great to glance over at on a day like today - which keeps me far too busy to slip onto a course for a few rounds:-) Do you play?

It's an honour for me to be mentioned on your blog, Ellen, so many thanks again. Those are very wise words about finding the right coach. There's no such thing as a bad student, only a bad teacher (or something to that effect).

I do play football on a team. It's not too serious, but still competitive, and great exercise too. I've not that many scars to show, probably because it's 'soccer' I play and I think you're referring to American Football?

Regardless, I hope you have (had) a great weekend.

Bye from Scotland.
