
Brain damaged workers may soon have another chance at life. Brain injury may soon no longer the last word for a 38 year old man, for instance, whose brain was jump-started and new signs of life observed.

Yesterday the patient's mother’s told how her son improved after electrodes were implanted in his brain.
"My son can now speak, watch a movie without falling asleep, drink from a cup," she said at a news conference. "He can express pain, can cry and laugh."
This technique is now in trials to observe its usefulness in treating epilepsy, obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression.
It’s further evidence of the deep brain stimulation currently being used to restore movement to people who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease. What do you think?










I saw this article today. Science when combined with research and delvelopment is a wonderful thing. I served on the board of an arm of the United Church of Christ. The group was LifeLink and they owned among other things, nurshing homes.25 years ago the average age was 65 years old of the residents, now 85 and climbing.Better medicine and medical care.
