10 Reasons to Read A Writer

Have you ever wondered why you return to some writers more than others? With endless good writers out there to pick from – why do we read some more than others.

I read hundreds of other readers for other reasons – but these are ten that came to mind first for why I read some writers again and again –

Ellen, I read your blog often because it is well written and deals with compelling topics backed by scientfic facts and data.
Thanks for including me in your list and on the same line as Seth, wow!

Wow, 10 GREAT reasons why you read the blogs you do. I'm with Jim: you have great facts that I can't find anywhere else, so I keep reading your stuff. I would also say that you look at things from a very different perspective than I do. Put those 2 together, and you've got quite the wonderful package and a place I'll return to again and again!

Thanks for including my blog with Liz's place. She's got an amazing thing going, and though I don't compare myself to her, it's nice to be thought of in her company.

Wow, it's great to be thought of as a writer, Ellen, and beside Cog News! That makes my day! You were very generous to the folks you list here! That's a trait I admire in you.

Coming from you, this means a great deal to me. Thanks :-)

Jim - thanks - your innovative and rich ideas have added so much to these blogs alread!

Phil, thanks for the way you reach around and garner the best that out there in ways that show us the authors behind the words!

Robyn, your fresh ideas pull us to the other side of problems and into productivity again and again. Thanks for the way you hold the good stuff up to the rainbow and show real colors in your words!

Dio - thanks for your kind words and for the way you reach across cultures in ways that show us all the value in so doin through thoughtful interactions! You make us rich!

Hi

I read writers because I like their style. As a content writer I learn a lot from reading writers who are better than me and learn.

Thanks for the interesting links. I will go into each one of them to see what I can learn from them.

Do visit my blog if you have the time: http://johnpmathew.blogspot.com. I write mostly about writing and have a link of this article there.

:)

Hi Ellen...I read your stuff because you are unfailingly uplifting and upbeat. You make me smile too. Mostly because I am thinking..."omg, she can write a lot about this narrow-sounding topic. Me? I need less focused canvas. You are my blogging hero.

have a great day!

There are many reasons to read a writer but when you get right down to it you must ask your self, what do you want this writer to give you. What do you expect from anything that you pick up to read, will it up lift you will it scare you will it bring you joy or is it something you have just been thinking about. Where I work there are many writers and all have different talents all want to give different messages to the public and they do a very good job of it. But I have found that what I like most is a writer that will go the extra mile to make sure that the whole truth is being told at least as much as they can. That is what I like because the truth can make you sad it can make you mad but most of all it can make your heart fell like you can flying and a very good writer can make you feel that way all the time. Their books become your refuge and that is the best thing about good writers. Now on the other hand there are writers that make you put the work down after only a few sentences and that is sad because we have the right to choose and when a writer offends us with their point of view and we don’t agree it makes it easy to walk away from their work. But if they are good even though we may disagree a good writer still knows how to grab us and keep us reading but that the great thing about reading.

they make me laugh.I think they have a since of humer.
