Enter Your Blog to Create a Book

Earlier this month I plucked One Word Inspirations From 100 Sites.

Over the past week I retuned to your snippets of “inspiration” in order to expand the one word list into action plans that move our business minds forward in a new way. Then a great book idea came to me….
handsonkeyboard.jpg
Let’s hold a contest for change and for a copy of my 2005 book, MI in the Classroom and Beyond. What a great list of tools we’d create – and it could well lead into a book we could write together, titled Business Matters – Change and the Human Brain!

Here are the rules… 1). First, choose one word from the list below – other than your own. That leaves you 99 choices from the list! 2. Then, create a brief doable plan for work this week that shows that word in operation.  Simply inspire improvement in any one area at your workplace. 3). Now, blog about the word, any specific tactics you tried, the improvement results, and any observations that caught your attention. 4). Finally, link your post to One Word Inspirations From 100 Sites, so we can compile the results and share new tools.

I will then respond to your post by showing specific brain based operations involved in your workplace through your ideas, and then will send a book to a person who shows the hottest business improvements in any area highlighted in a blog entry. The prize will be awarded to the top blog selected when all 100 blogs come in.

Thank you for the nice post.

Ellen, I would like to post a section on community. I've been thinking about this lately and hope I can offer you a substantive piece.

Thanks John! I'd sure look forward to a piece on a new technology tool that could create a better workplace. Thoughts?

"Creating quality together ..." Cool! :) This is a terrific idea, thanks for including our blog in your list, too.

Hey what about me? Can I play too?

You sent me a note but my blog is not included. I write to inspire people everyday. I am on a mission to inspire the best in others and to make a positive difference in the world. You know peace, purpose, fun, consciousness, love, joy, freedom, success and all that good stuff.

Joseph -- I love your blog -- and it is dead on for this project. It's listed at 72 -- and I can't wait to see the plan, tactic or business tools you roll out in a blog for the book! Thanks for stopping by!

Intriguing idea - thank you for including me. I will do my post on Cam Beck's "professionals." It will be a short while before I get to it, but I look forward to it.

Thanks again!

Thanks Jim, that one will elicit a few nuggets from the professionalism I've read at your site. Great and thanks for the heads up. Now you have our curiosity for the post:-) Hope you enjoy the process:-)

You have collected the cream of the blogsphere. One can learn so much from each of the bloggers. Count me in; and thanks .

The cream just got richer! Great Dio and your blog will be welcomed! Thanks for stopping by and for coming onboard with us....

This is a cool one Ellen. I'm going to pick "gratitude" and see if I can't kick that up a few more notches at my office - I'll let you know how it goes when I post about it in a week. Happy 4th!

Terry, what a great tool the topic could become to a growing business. So glad you chose it -- and even today it steps us back in a reminder! Thanks and what makes me think the emerging blog will rachet business up a few notches for all of us! Looking forward to how so?

Ellen, did I do what you wanted. I linked to the 100 words article and sent a trackback. Anything else I need to do?
Linda
BTW, neat idea!

Thanks Linda, Here are the rules… 1). First, choose one word from the list below – other than your own. MAKE SURE YOU STATE THE WORD 2. Then, create a brief doable plan for work this week that shows that word in operation. Simply inspire improvement in any one area at your workplace SO THAT WE COULD REDO YOUR PLAN BASED ON WHAT YOU TELL US WORKS WELL. 3). Now, blog about the word, any specific tactics you tried, the improvement results, and any observations that caught your attention. 4). Finally, link your post to One Word Inspirations From 100 Sites, THE LINK HAS NOT COME THROUGH YET:-) so we can compile the results and share new tools.

Hope that helps cause your ideas refresh readers, Linda!

Great suggestion Ellen. What a fun way to do a group writing project! Thanks for including Make It Great! in the list of great ones.

Thanks for sropping by and for your kind comments Phil. I hope that means you'll write a piece for the book -- cause that would sell it for sure:-)

Ellen, this one went off in a pretty strange direction, but I hope you like it - here it is:

Thanks for the inspiration!

What a cool post and it makes the book rich Terry! It will be fun to read so many gems and this one makes us laugh too! Thanks - but not surprised!
