I can’t … I won’t… others won’t support me… it won’t work … later maybe … there are no resources … it has yet to be proven … it’s not yet known well enough … it’s too much trouble … others won’t get it … we do it differently here … there’s no time … why bother … it’s too hard … risks are not rewarded here … I’m going to retire soon … I already have tenure … I might not get tenure if I do it … I already do all that stuff … others don’t do it – why should I?
