Over at The First Submissions: Your Blogging Metaphors, Liz Strauss asked people to share a blogging metaphor.
She put it this way … “When a nonblogger asks, “What is a blog?’ How do you answer? Have you tried using a metaphor? Would you mind sharing yours? A few bloggers have.”![]()

It’s time to look at the original post for the background — to see the what and the how – of a blogging metaphor from this little corner of the world. It starts with a metaphor of the blogger brain. Ok… let’s see …
For William Allman the brain is a monstrous mess … for Susan Allport – a black box… for Dave Barry … a nuclear generator …for Santiago Ramon Cajal…unexplored continents… for Dalai Lama—a temple…for Peter Coveney – a cathedral of complexity… for MacDonald Critchley- a divine banquet…Judith Hooper – a saline pool, run on electricity…for Peter de Vries – a device to keep the ears from grating on one another… for Thomas masson—it’s never stronger than the weakest link…for Emily Dickinson – it’s wider than the sky… for Dr. Seuss – it’s full of spiders…
Yes, these are my adopted metaphors for the blogger brain … and they tell us why metaphoric links to blogs and brains have just begun. Now that's what keeps me coming back....
Thanks Liz and all who blog with metaphors.

A metaphor for Ellen Weber a gift of serotonin wrapped inside a living teddy bear who's always smiling when we look in her direction. That teddy is very wise and knows the power of straightforward cheerleading on the hearts of people to help rise to their fullest potential. It's no wonder so many want to hug her. :)
