5 Keys to Einstein's Curiosity and Accomplishments

Have you ever stood with curiosity before an apparent mystery and wondered how it worked, or thought seriously about how to implement one change to improve the workplace you attend?

That position is actually the seed of creativity and lasting change hidden with secrets of highly successful people. Einstein comes to mind here. einstein.gif

Faced with the lack of creativity opportunity and the stifling traditions in Europe in his time, Einstein often reveled in the creativity and questioning he’d enjoyed as a student in Europe. His constant probes into stayed wisdom led him to the theory of relativity.

Do you question the traditions that stifle where you work?

Because he constantly questioned authority Einstein’s teachers concluded he’d never amount to much. One called him a bonehead and another expelled him from his German school.

Here are 5 traits Einstein used to move problems into possibilities.

1. Persistence and stubborn tenacity were tools of change for Einstein.

2. Einstein connected and applied things in ways others had not tried.

3. Rather than one emphasis only, Einstein cultivated many intelligences.

4. Imagination and fun added zip to most everything Einstein did.

5. Questions tracked Einstein’s day like maps guide a traveler.

Einstein’s guiding question was the fact that nature is constructed in a wonderful way and the task of humans is to discover its mathematical structures. He won the Nobel Prize in 1921 for his curiosity that led to discoveries in theoretical physics. What’s your quest and how will curiosity guide new accomplishments today?

I just wanted to thank you for another great post. I read this blog regularly, but never commented. I usually only comment when I feel that I have something to contribute, but this time I am making an exception because your posts are usually so spot on that it is hard to add to them. Or perhaps I just have to apply more brainpower :-) Actually, this could be perhaps turned into the framework for writing about what makes good writing/blogging... hmmm, must think about that some more...

Ellen:

This is a lovely story. Can you share a bit more about the multiple intelligences that Einstein used, or point me to a reference?

Jan, I am so glad to stopped by to chat -- on one of my favorite topics -- Einstein's brain:-) I see a wonderful blog cooking in the background. How about you write it and I will take it a step further and link up to your fun ideas - with a few of my own. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Galba, and what an amazing suggestion. Einstein worked immensely well from all 8 intelligences in incredible ways and what a great topic for a blog to show how so:-)

Let's see who gets to it faster -- you or me:-) I am intrigued by the idea in spite of the many meetings I am in at the moment before I head out to Europe again. How about you? What's up these days?

I finally finished my post on Einstein and blogging (see above). I am not sure it is anywhere near what you imagined when I made my first comment above, but it took me considerable time to write so be gentle with me if you should find time to comment on it :-)

I am actually so excited about this theme that I am thinking about turning it into a meme based on a rephrased version of your initial question. Would that be alright with you?

The icing on the cake would obviously be if you would allow me to tag you so you can get to answer your own question (or at least my version of it) ;-)
