
I’m not politically correct and have no intention of becoming so …. How about you?
Instead … I choose respect over political correctness any day. Why?
Because respect allows me more opportunities to see people as they see themselves, and as they hope to be seen.
Sadly, politically correct has evolved into a derogatory … and often a divisive term. ![]()
It may have started with an intent to treat all people well, but it ended with criticism of others or inability to say what is on one’s mind for fear of treading on other’s feet.
Tone is the best response to political correctness in my opinion, because good tone adds respect, and engages other people’s creative ideas in equitable ways for mutual benefit. There are other advantages too.
With good tone – we’re free to say what we really think, because we have more people’s well-being in mind.
Did you know that tone is a learned skill, or that it draws from several intelligences? And are you aware that each time we use good tone, the brain develops dendrite brain cells for using it better to solve the next problem we encounter?
