As an Online faculty to leaders, professionals and graduate level learners, I find myself asking a lot lately …. What if… ?
1. We introduce and taught tone skills upfront before negative tone appeared?
2. We question more ... I mean the 2-footed kind of questions that include
content and students’ interests?
3. We target goals in a language that showed all students how to reach higher?
4. We expect higher standards and roll out clear criteria in conversational exchanges?
5. We move resources already available to students – their unique capabilities – by fostering diverse approaches to meet the course goals?
6. We reflect with learners regularly to see how we might facilitate their best in better ways?
7. We cultivate a circle of support among Online leaders, to borrow alternative tactics when ours failed the students for any reason?
What would happen if we started each new course with a bit more fun? Or if we frame all interactions with the content and learner at the forefront in new approaches that build curiosity for a topic? What do you think makes an Online Class into a Unique Learning Adventure?
