
Have you wondered how your brain tells time? What do people mean by an inner clock?
According to Science Daily — "Time" is the most popular noun in the English language, yet the Science Daly writer question with the rest of us… “How would we tell time if we didn't have access to watches, clocks and cell phones?”
Many experts agree that the brain possesses an internal clock so that we keep track of time.

Recently, a UCLA study reported in the Feb. 1 edition of Neuron - shows physical changes to the brain's cells that helps the organ to monitor the passage of time. Check out details at the University of California - Los Angeles.
Dean Buonomano, researcher at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a member of the University's Brain Research Institute. "Many complex human behaviors -- from understanding speech to playing catch to performing music -- rely on the brain's ability to accurately tell time. Yet no one knows how the brain does it."
