If Only (you fill in the blank) Could Change ....

Have you ever heard a person say if … changed, then I could communicate better? Interestingly, the opposite is  true when it comes to rebooting the brain for lasting change ….

Let’s fill in the blank above with common change myths below ... that slow down or halt change at work.

If only….brain%20project.jpg

1. The system changed …
2. My family changed …
3. My workload changed …
4. People around me changed …
5. Timetables changed…
6. My health changed…
7. My money situation changed …
8. My boss changed …
9. Others in general changed …

In reality, though, effective communication tactics that draw from intrapersonal intelligence, can ...

- create a difference
- occur where we are now
- start in ourselves, and
- communicate effectively

... all, in spite of stressors that come daily.

How we react and tactics we apply to change ourselves … will soon impact others so that change ripples slowly at first and then faster often in our circles. It's myth to think change starts with people or tensions outside ourselves. It's also futile from a communication standpoint.

Research about the human brain shows that change starts with each of us – rewires our own neuron pathways first – and reboots the brain by what we do in reaction to current situations – whatever these are.

When change starts with us, and when we develop and master communication tactics,  we also motivate and inspire others to communicate effectively.

What zinger tactics do you use to develop more intrapersonal intelligence and strengthen your communication? How are others are motivated to see change in you and inspired to communicate well themselves because of positive tone that brings results?
