Reality: When people think their opportunities have passed by and now it is too late to grow and succeed, it likely is. In 1999 Mayo and Christenfeld showed how people who feel less talented than others do less well and research continually shows this to be true in tests, creative performances and even games.
That’s an unfortunate fact because it limits any creative results. In contrast, whenever we challenge our multiple intelligences we grow new connecting brain cells called dendrites, which help us achieve solutions in multiple ways.
