Economize for Growth

While most would agree that organizations or governments rarely generate economic growth, people in any field can. Never underestimate the power of economic growth to motivate excellence at work. Noam Chomsky said it best … unlimited economic growth holds the marvelous quality of stilling discontent while maintaining privilege, a fact that cannot go unnoticed among liberal economists. Whether you agree or disagree with Chomsky, most see value in economizing for growth. Money02.jpg

Lasting change and ongoing improvements in any organization tend to connect to and presume sustained economic growth. That includes personal and collective economic growth in the most successful circles. Do you agree?

However you define profitability … economic consideration will impact ultimate human fulfillment in that productivity. Furthermore history has taught us repeatedly that successful economic benefits in free market societies, come from the bottom up rather than from top leaders down. Therein lies a rationale for which the human brain is ready to tackle through development of smart skills.

1). To economize for growth is to create a personal stake in deciding economic policies that benefit ourselves and others through their success. Ask for explanations if you do not understand the jargon used, and make suggestions for change that benefits you and others.

2. Create discussions with experts to consider how individuals and organizations remain economically alive, financially dynamic, progressive and fiscally free. We all know experts in financial fields who would willingly engage such a roundtable and the best of these will communicate in a language that engages diverse voices.

3. Trust people’s multiple intelligence performances to build stronger profitability and then encourage that to happen, by helping people to create links between their unique capabilities and sustainable finances.

The best way to avoid rigid bureaucratic controls is to help bring about the conditions essential to personal and group economic growth. What skills would bring that about where you work?
