Listen to Cranky Manager Interview

An interesting comment, left by reader Wayne Turmet at my post Purpose as Your Tool for Discovery led me to write again about this fascinating topic. My original post discussed Purpose and Innovation, by Nikos Mourkogiannis, and in this post  Turmel will interview the cranky middle manager’s author.

I’d questioned the notion that …  “the world's most successful companies have discovered that to maximize the effect of corporate innovations, they must first identify an overarching framework, or purpose, for internal innovations.” Have they?BAH-PurposeBookWebsite_home_final_05-thumb.gif

Wayne Turmel shows over at the podcastnetwork how the author looked at clear purposes and innovation at work.  If Purpose: The Starting Point of Great Companies, by Nikos Mourkogiannis, shows leaders how to improve the quality of innovation, the interview shows people how to land a better position at work.

If you or your firm is interested in change for a new adventure you'll want to hear this podcast, Turmet put it this way …”The Cranky Middle Manager is an irreverent but informative look at the leaders and thinkers trying to make the job of middle management that much easier.”

He then added … “I would appreciate if your readers (and you) gave it a listen.”

Thanks for stopping by to tell us about the podcast, Wayne... I enjoyed your interview ….. Readers?

Hi Ellen,
I'm trying to figure out how to trackback to this blog...I see the permalink thing but not the trackback. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

Hi Barbra, and thanks for your comment. Unfortunately trackback has to be turned off by leaders at KMM at times because of spam that escalates in these channels. However the links to the post are great and they are open. The link to this post is http://www.brainbasedbusiness.com/2006/11/listen_to_cranky_manager_inter.html#comments and that comes through much like a trackback. Hope that makes sense in my non-techie lingo:-)

Gotcha, thanks! I know how to get the link to a post so will use that method.
