What Makes You Laugh and Why Should You Care?

Everybody loves a good joke. I’m still laughing at the red fox who swipes every golf ball it spots in Montana . Experts offer tips to grab a belly laugh at work. Laughter can dilute the bad from news you receive in a day. I learned life-changing lessons from laughing with Inuit in the High Arctic for 2 years.

Complete

There's a downside to humor that fewer people are aware of ... and it relates to how your brain rewires itself daily. Have you ever looked closely at message behind the jokes you prefer though? Few would disagree that laughter is powerful as a stimulant to
build new neuron pathways in your brain and it also raises the immune system and adds overall health. humor create old age stereotypes.jpg

Whenever we focus on … or laugh at most … determines how the
brain rewires itself to share our lives and success rates.

For example… over time… seniors who laugh at common stereotypes of aging or people who laugh at gambling and wild living… are more apt to live those negative stereotypes. That’s because you brain’s
plasticity is shaped by what you do ... and observe ... and focus on daily. In fact humor can create a collective basal ganglia habit of sorts so that aging or wild living become the norm to laugh at and live … for say people who are impacted more through visual images. It’s how multiple intelligences work… and until now … we’ve had less understanding of spatial intelligence and it role to inspire or disarm our day.

What makes you laugh anyway?
