There's a downside to humor that fewer people are aware of ... and it relates to how your brain rewires itself daily. Have you ever looked closely at message behind the jokes you prefer though? Whenever we focus on … or laugh at most … determines how the brain rewires itself to share our lives and success rates.
For example… over time… seniors who laugh at common stereotypes of aging or people who laugh at gambling and wild living… are more apt to live those negative stereotypes. That’s because you brain’s plasticity is shaped by what you do ... and observe ... and focus on daily. In fact humor can create a collective basal ganglia habit of sorts so that aging or wild living become the norm to laugh at and live … for say people who are impacted more through visual images. It’s how multiple intelligences work… and until now … we’ve had less understanding of spatial intelligence and it role to inspire or disarm our day.
What makes you laugh anyway?
