What a thrill to see Wegmans back in the news again in my slowly declining city.  Always bearing good news – always modeling quality expansions that benefit the entire community.

In Karen Miltner’s Democrat and Chronicle story … Store? Restaurant? Wegmans is both … we are told how food bars at Wegman’s Pittsford site now offer full meals. How do they do it when poor government, high taxes and mismanaged funds are increasingly forces running firms out of this city? Wegmans is deeply committed to people – both its employees and its customers. That’s also why so many of us frequent their new extension, and why their employees vote them number one again and again.

Go Wegmans!  We want you to win, and we thank you for the generosity you show to help others win.  You are a shining light in this city at a time of pay cuts, downsizing, and stagnation.

You inspire us all - as a model for our nation - as a business fashioned for excellence - and as an example of what we could be in Rochester.
