Perils of Mediocrity

We usually think of change that adds fear … and so it’s an interesting  departure today over at Ann Michael’s … The Perils of Mediocrity.

Ann reminds us that “People worried about losing their jobs for being outrageous, controversial, or “fringe” would be better served worrying about a lay-off because their company is unremarkable. It has to start somewhere.” mediocrity.jpg

I like Ann's challenge …”How can your company be remarkable, if you’re afraid to be?”

She adds two posts for a possible response and I  agree that posts show unique perils of mediocrity. Seth Godin’s – 50:1 … and The Chief Happiness Officer’s … How to Lose Your Fear of Being Fired

What do you see as the perils of mediocrity where you work…?
