What would you do … if suddenly all you had was your own mental resources and you were expected to solve a problem. Let’s say you were left with only stuff you can see within a six foot radius as you read this post?
The first thing your brain would do is jump into problem solving mode. Let’s rehearse your options – if you were expected to think like
Einstein and to propose a plan for a more profitable business.
You have your brain, the clothes you have on and a few items around you in the proximity of 6 feet only, in any direction. You might …
1, Turn on some music to calm your brain waves and that would draw wonders from your musical intelligence. If no music is available – simply hum or sing your favorite tune.
3. Look for anybody else who step into your six foot circle who could collaborate … or at least think of inspiration from another person life or words, that could help you now.
4, Spend a great deal of time thinking, planning and strategizing … for a short term and long term plan to implement your insights.
5. Reflect on what another person might do if they were you, and if they were to meet with success.
6. Build a setting from materials at hand – to implement your plan in the best possible environment.
7. Write out all the steps you’ll implement - along with predictions about their merit and personal reactions to their potential.
8. Draw a sketch of the proposal you create and color in the parts you want to represent stages of the plan you implement.
There – you have used 8 brilliant ways of solving any problem – and nobody else added to your acumen. When you draw from multiple intelligences, as you just did here, you’ll be amazed at the fact that your brain gives you more than enough by way of resources for brilliant improvements in business. At least it’s a fair to middlin’ start on the process of organizational change that improves the situation for yourself and others at work. What at you think?
