Do toxins that harm your brain, exist at your workplace?
For instance, lead particles in the air lead to brain cell loss, and create brain damage that is felt for many years Eighteen years after people worked with lead, they continued to show significant loss of brain cells. Medical professionals also reported significant damage to their brain tissue. The study Neurology, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Neurology,
reminds us to stay alert to any toxins and chemicals at work.
The 532 former employees from a chemical manufacturing plant were tested after freedom for 18 years from lead exposure. Workers who were tested had worked with lead for more than eight years.
In spite of 18 years absence from exposure, the lead still existed in workers’ bones as seen in MRI scans. Studies related to the lingering effects of toxins such as lead, raise concerns for people who grew up before the late 1970s and who could still carry high lead levels that harm their brains. Is your workplace free of toxins?
