It’s been a busy week … and for the most part a great week …. Yet through several incidents this week … I was led back to remember equity’s amazing tribute from Martin Luther King’s faith. He really was a hero to humanity … to all of us!
What a picture of equity sketched into King’s speech… I have a Dream. Business with the brain in mind is there – all of it! Inequity is subtle and harms all of us … Martin Luther King reminded us …. And his 
inspiration as a leader… still helps us to dream past pitfalls of corrupt business systems we create… that welcome some in and hold others out …. We fail humanity to the detriment of all as King saw it… and his speech returns the faith as equity’s harbinger when with a great leader takes the helm.
Through every inequity we allow… we impact the basal ganglia parts of our brain… until we no longer see its subtle dangers. So we can easily forget King’s methods to move beyond unfairness and subtle inequity that slips in.
Do you every crave his message … mixed soul with mind … and more about personal humility and faith than about saving face in business.
Faith taught King to take the first step even before he “saw the whole staircase….” And sometimes I wonder what it teaches us today…? What do you think?
