Brain Injury Study Will Pay $40.00 to Participants

I just noticed over at fellow blogger, Michael Kaplen’s blog Brain Injury News, that Participants are needed in Buffalo, New York to study ways of improving emotion recognition following brain injury. Michael,  a lawyer who represents persons with brain injury, was asked by researchers at the  Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York to post information on a research project to testing the effectiveness of 2 training programs.

The study is designed to improve emotion recognition in persons with
Traumatic Brain Injury. In Kaplen’s words… “Impaired emotion recognition can be a very debilitating deficit for people with TBI, contributing to poor social outcomes.”

Researchers welcome participants in the Buffalo, New York areas, and suggest that their intervention holds good benefits for all participants who have already participated in their study.

You’ll be interested to know that participants will receive $40.00 for their part in the study, which is slated to take place at Erie County Medical Center , Ambulatory Clinical Research Center .

If you know interested volunteers, who have suffered traumatic brain injury, have them contact
Dawn Radice-Neumann at (716) 639 0064 for further details.
