Benefiting at work from Brain Based Insights

 Today I was interested to read … “Stanford bans its doctors from accepting industry gifts” posted at Mercury News.

On Tuesday, October 1  … Stanford University Medical Center will join ranks with a growing number of academic medical centers who are banning doctors from accepting business gifts of any kind. That  includes that box of new allergy or pain pills your doctors hands out from free samples.

Doctors at Stanford Medical Center will accept no more free meals, or free seats at sports events … or any other jests which have been traditionally showered on doctors by drug companies who hope to raise sales through this practice.

Check out the medical center details. According to Stanford… there is a growing number of influences between business and good practice and they have taken this stand to show their disapproval for the influences that can work against health in favor of drug companies’ financial profits. 

My question is … “When this new policy goes into effect on Oct. 1 … will other doctors follow the brave example of the Stanford Medical Center?" Could it be that other health  centers might begin to draw on their own intrapersonal intelligence … in similar  ways … in this effort to  put the word "CARE" back into health.... All in favor ...?
