Traffic to your blog can be a ping and a faceless hit, or it can link you to people with ideas that add a new zest for business and for humanity. I like to know more than the fact that this hit was a person in real estate – that ping came from a marketing guru. To connect my blog and to real people I tend to:
1). Follow links back and read people’s profile which fills in personal and professional facts interest.
2. Look for a way to make some connection between what others do
and what your business does.
3. Check out details they discuss in blogs and then blog on the results you discovered.
4. Read a publication that person wrote or referred to and pitch the best ideas from their company or business interests in your next blog.
Do you agree that people are more exciting that pings, traffic scores or hits? If so… it's worth the effort to learn from them and to figure out what they saw in your blog that connects you to theirs.
What do you think?
