If you agree with Jacques Nasser’s statement that….” People who are most successful are those who do what really interests them… you likely also accept his notion that “There’s no substitute for energy and enthusiasm.”
Easier said by CEO of Ford Motor Company than done for some of the rest of us, I agree…. But because energy and enthusiasm are linked to the brain’s chemical and electrical systems, there are ways to increase the kind of brainpower Nasser used at Ford.
Here are a few tips to elevate your energy and enthusiasm… which by the way … are less connected to where you work than most realize.
1. Take time out to do something you enjoy daily – even for a brief period and you’ll enjoy what you do at work more
2. Listen to your favorite music while to travel to and from work – it relaxes you and shifts your brain waves into gear.
3. Ask somebody at work to give you their insights for a problem you’d like to solve and then put their ideas into actions as solutions.
Believe it or not, these three tips will begin to add energy and enthusiasm that may have slipped from your work world. Why? Because the brain works in your favor when you begin to act in ways that rewire it for the kind of energy and enthusiasm that come naturally to more successful people. Worth a try?
