Did you know your brain needs regular workouts if you are to create ... say ... the top computer design for your firm? Your brain has three main parts to be challenged on a daily basis: the cerebrum, the brain stem, and the cerebellum.
The brain stem… which sits beneath the cerebrum and in front of the cerebellum … keeps you breathing. The brain stem controls your involuntary muscles such as the heart and stomach. It’s the brain stem that tells the heart when to pump more blood and acts as a sort of messenger for the rest of the body to talk to the brain. It’s worked out with good food and plenty of rest.
The cerebellum’s position at the back of the brain may be only 1/8th the size of the cerebrum but it’s worked out when you balance movement and draw on coordination or when you ride a bike, skateboard or surf.
What do you do during the workday to exercise your brain and challenge its extravagant capability?

And to add to the complication, each half of the cerebrum is made of 4 lobes: frontal, temporal, parietal, and occipital. Each of those lobes can be exercised through cognitive tasks specific to each lobe's function (executive functions, memory/language, sensory/motor coordination, and vision).
