How Can I Get United E-Fares to Stop Spamming My Email Box?

Can anybody help me to stop United E-fares from spamming me many times each week? Their spam also contains the message … TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR UPDATE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS …  But they will not let you unsubscribe if you have an incorrect password and they say that mine is "incorrect."

The spam also reads: “You are currently subscribed to receive United.jpginformation from United." I never did subscribe to this site....

They also say: "You may
modify your email options or unsubscribe at any time by signing in with your Mileage Plus number and password. Please read our privacy policy. Requests to unsubscribe from United emails may take 10 business days to process. Please do not attempt to respond to this message. We cannot accept electronic replies to this email. Written inquiries may be sent to:

United Airlines World Headquarters-WHQPW
1200 E. Algonquin Rd.
Elk Grove Township, Illinois 60007
USA”

This seems to be set to stick people with daily spams … but I am sure there must be a way out. It does beg the question..."Why are we forced to waste hours to "get out of things" we did not ask for? At this point, though, it’s just that I cannot find that way. My password no longer works for some reason they cannot explain … and you cannot email them without it.

When I called I got a guy from India, who could not speak English and kept repeating back my email address incorrectly. Eventually, he assured me he’d take care of it for United … but the spasm keep coming!

Help! What else can I do? The email address these spasm come from is …
ualmail@ulsmlbx02.mail.united.com and it does not allow return messages. Any ideas that would help? Thanks business friends!

once you are on a spam list, you'll just get more and more...only thing to do at this point is change your e-mail address. it sucks..but its the only real way...

normally, I would NOT help someone posting on digg like this...but i'm in a good mood and want to help.

Stryker2you

um....mark it as junk in the spam filter. If you are using any e-mail serves from an isp or hotmail and the like, you can mark it as junk and tell it not to send it through.

Stryker2, THANKS for your kind help. I am glad to hear you're in a good mood too:-0 cause that means you have extra serotonin in your brain today -- and I hope it comes back in many blessings to you as the day goes on. You've really helped my day, and btw -- that spreads serotonin to you and others as well! Much appreciated...

Thanks guys -- it's heartwarming to find a person who can help with spam. This experience also makes us realize the value of thoughtful exchanges as opposed to pushing relentless junk at a person -- without any care to hear back from them. Hmmm... could this be why airlines are in trouble with so many customers? Now you have me thinking!

came back to see how it went. yeah, you can try and manage your junk e-mail into the junk e-mail folder...but if you are just so fed up with it and can't take it anymore, the best way is to just switch to a new e-mail account.

alot of times if you get just a few spam messages and you try to opt-out...it will just result in more spam. its a never ending battle. but then again, if you are one of the ones who only gets a few spam messages every once in a while...you're pretty lucky.

Only reason i stay spam free on my main e-mail is because I never give it out to anyone I dont personally know and I never sign up for anything or purchase anything from a website using it. Thats what hotmail and gmail are for.

right now i'm feeling lazy...i'm too lazy to spell check, so if there are errors...just over look them :)

sorry forgot to say it was me...stryker....see...just plain lazy today
