10 Secrets of Success and their Brain Based Tactics

In a wonderful post today at Ramblings From a Glass Half Full, friend and fellow blogger, Starbucker,  listed  10 Secrets To Success. These keys so interested me that I added brain based tactic 10 keys I'd like to emphasize. Did you know the brain is rewired daily by what we do that day… and Starbuck’s secrets to success look like they’d be fun to keep for inspiration. To Starbucker’s first 10 (he says they are in no special order) I added brain based tactics to:

1.  gain common sense -- use more intelligences
2.  balance between work and personal life - play more golf
3.  increase intellectual curiosity – start the day with the question…”What if?”
4.  sustain good friend & family support structure thanks each of those in my life
5.  improve perseverance - work in small increments – one step forward daily
6.  show good manners and respectfulness towards others - check my tone... especially when I disagree with somebody or hope to show another angle
7.  ensure courage - do one act each week that I'd like to become my legacy
8.  cultivate selflessness -- give away something special to a person I love.
9.  ignite passion – encourage change and use talents in a new way

10. build perspective – remind myself today that there are others who are hungry, discouraged and tired… and that what I do might help them too to build a better world.

It all started with Starbucker’s inspiration list ... and now I also have a brain based list of doables to rewire my mind for their changes. Any you’d add?

I'd like to add, "respect the earth" and plant something you'd enjoy over time. Gardening gives me serotonin and well-being.

Think of the effects of that one -- and benefits to a wider community! Thanks Robyn.

I really like Robyn's addition - "respect the earth". That's going on the list! Now we're up to 31. Thanks Ellen for the link.

Cool -- I liked that one too and in fact it reminded me to water my garden to help it through the NY heat here at the moment!

A series of useful points! It seems that one should simply be at peace with themselves and give respect where its due. Strive to succeed while striving doesn't mean stressing. If you want to succeed, then you have to strive for it. wishing does nothing.
