Archives Journals are aging and the presence of apolipoprotein … which is a gene that develops into clinical dementia about 10 to 15 years earlier than people without it. Studies show that lower levels of this gene in the cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord indicate a likely development of Alzheimer's disease.
