I Need Help With Qualified Comments

I need help! At
Know More Media where I blog ... most everybody is far smarter than me ... on lots of things.  It’s why I love to blog there! For one thing, I get technology tips there that allow me to squeeze a few brain based ideas into a blog without breaking my brain too much. Well at least on everything except QUALIFIED COMMENTS.

We’d been encouraged at KMM to make qualified comments ... and I see what a great idea that is.  Qualified comments draw in the best ideas out there and it allows you to spark questions to trigger thoughts from other bloggers.

So what’s the problem and why do I need help with qualified comments?

1. Qualified comments take time, and there is a great deal to do to read and process posts …  get the message through … and report the qualified comment so it opens to another person. Is there a way to make that process easier?
2. Only one third of my comments ever qualify – because they are not there when folks come back. Please list why this is so in a way that I can avoid the loss of my time and effort for comments that don’t qualify.

3. Most people at KMM are still not making many qualified comments … and that seems a shame since they are so useful. Can somebody make this process more doable for those of us who blog past midnight just to keep our other business alive in the day?

That’s my challenge to all those who know the value and methods for QUALIFIED comments. I’ll place my bet on the fact that if a few of our tech savvy bloggers posted in readable steps for making qualified comments in a doable way– that more bloggers would invest in this rich practice – without the discouragement I have found for my killer time and efforts. There my challenge is on and I’ll post on something I know to pay you back if you name it! Thanks for sharing your smarts on this one!

Ellen - forgive my ignorance - what exactly do you mean by qualified comments? Qualified to what end? Who judges them?

No ignorance Ann, and it simply means comments made to other experts in the fileds or at other active blog sites. It is a way of engaging ideas and people and it also shows people what topics you are blogging about that week.
