Because creativity is so central to Heather Harris' leadership style, I wanted to hear how she fuels personal creativity and so I asked:
What does it take to foster your own creativity? 
As someone cognizant of its many benefits, I need a certain level of safety to nurture creativity… and it’s often only when a combination of factors come together that I allow my creative side to have free reign. These factors include:
-- a sense of comfort with the integrity of the project;
-- a belief that there is a shared commitment to bring about a positive solution to the issue at hand; and,
-- a confidence in my own abilities and life experiences to bring a vision, strategy or ideas worthy of consideration to the table.
Where does the courage piece fit in here as you see it? 
It takes courage at times to offer ideas which are non-traditional or outside existing norms. However, the process of pushing aside doubts and bringing new and innovative solutions to the table is where I find my greatest personal rewards.
