In June’s Positive Health, David Lloyd George…wrote tips in Mind Body talk: Creating the Circumstances for Success … for motivation as it improves a person’s
fortune, destiny and success. George pointed to ways that people motivate themselves to attain success, rather than wait for success to come to them. Have you noticed how very motivated people tend to be very successful people?
Citing the work of Martin Goodyear, motivational trainer of Reach International Associates, George points out how people who look in a focused way to the outcomes they hope to achieve, tend to reach these outcomes faster than those who lack similar targets. The idea here is that winners “create the circumstances for success.”
Here are tips offered to take the next step toward your higher destiny:
1. Raise your standards
2, Have an unshakable belief
3. Banish your devil
4. Know what to do and apply it
I especially liked George’s suggestion that “your purpose and your destiny are intertwined. However, I’d like to add one step to his list of four:
5. Reflect often to ensure and track clear evidence of your forward movement.
To reflect is to accomplish things never before accomplished by using parts of the brain never before used. Brain based reflections draw from multiple intelligences as a way to get more successful results from the human brain.
Add to that ... George’s reminder… “Don’t be afraid to take big steps. You can’t cross a chasm in two small jumps.” What chasm stands before you and what will be your next step for success?
