What's the Opposite of Your Idea?

Readers like to see an opposing viewpoint for pretty much every topic I can think of… Call it love for research in me… but I can see a thing more clearly when I look at it’s opposite side.

Have you noticed that research based ideas rarely cause flame wars … when they are more than a defense of any one-sided personal ideas or opinions.

Research discovers and supports with specific examples... rather than defends, and it tends to avoid polemics that one-sided opinions trigger at the water cooler. You not only learn more when you show and support interesting opposites, but your readers take away more also.
