It’s not everyday you meet a person on the links, whose conversation catches
your attention between swings. It happened yesterday when a golfer added to our team said, My husband’s just waiting for a buyout.” When I asked her why, she added. “He’s the VP at ___________ (she named a well known organization in the area) and the President makes all decisions unilaterally.”
Know any presidents who could have fit her husband’s complaint? Have you ever lost any ... purpose ... passion or even ... presence for your work, because of feeling undervalued?
Purpose: Dr. Thomas J. Stanley in ... The Millionaire Mind ... simple calls it Vocation, Vocation, Vocation, and still I find myself slogging back into the ruts at times that come whenever we settle for “career” … How about you? How do you distinguish between purpose and work? Any stories out there?
Passion: Keith Ferrazzi, author of best seller... Never Eat Alone ... urges people to find their passion, follow your bliss, and go after your dreams. Seems to me the key is to ask what stole your dream and then consider, like Ferrazzi suggests... How can you get it back?
Presence: That’s you! Do you see in yourself the person you’d like others to see in you? More importantly, how can you become more of that person, and have fun doing it today. Have you noticed that we tend to enjoy life more when we are more of who we're meant to be?
