While it may not be a good idea to act if you sense a 40 percent change of success... neither should you wait until you are 100 percent sure. By then it's almost always too late....
We too often hold back from taking risks, which could move us forward, because we lack confidence to renew! We feel threatened…. Eleanor Roosevelt said: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” The opposite to feeling threatened is to jump in and do one routine in a new way. said: “You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with the best you have to give.”
Why do we associate age with stagnation at work…? Madeleine L’Engle said: “The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other ages you’ve been.”
What would allow you to hedge your bets today, and take a risk for better odds?

The interesting thing about risk is that you have to have a certain amount of faith in a positive result. Sometimes it requires taking "small" risks. I remember learning to swim when I was younger, standing on the side of the pool in tears because I didn't think I could swim the entire width of the pool. When I finally took that risk and realized I could do it - I was able to set my sights on swimming one length, then two, then three. I eventually spent 8 years swimming competitively.
Good outcomes of those little risks help build the confidence you need to step out a little further and little further.
Thanks for the great post!
