If you’ve ever stood far too long … in a line of far too harried customers …with
far too few clerks …who seem to have far too much to handle… you get the picture I faced yesterday. It was either the wrong time of day to fix a cell phone at Verizon’s service center near my home… or else ... an entire city block lost its service at the same time ... and needed service right then.
Add to that ... problems of high heat ... and the dinner hour cranky customer syndrome ... and the rest will make more sense....
I saw the scene from my car while I waited for a business associate ... who waited forever for Verizon service....
The man ... who looked to be in his early twenties ... then quietly walked back to the line as if nothing had happened. Nobody inside seemed to see him or care…But from the friends’ shocked expressions and hands that flew over their mouths… it was clear they were as surprised by the man’s mooned response to frustration... as I was…
But after all... his friends were sitting … relaxed and chatting in his car… while the young man and my friend fought their way to the front of frenzied customer-lines….
Somehow all seemed better with the world after that hilarious response to one young customer's mooned response to Verizon's customer service that day…. What would you have done…?
