I was also glad to hear that at the FCC’s recently held auction where licenses were bid so that companies could offer WiFi in-flight … this airline leaped at the chance. JetBlue bid $7 million for a 1-megahertz wireless license. That may seem like a pittance if you compare it to a subsidiary of AirCell’s 3-megahertz license ($31.3 million) … but JetBlue happens to now be one of the few profitable airline companies around.
It just makes sense to treat people well… and it’s certainly looking toward the future when it comes to an airline offering value-added services to their passengers.
