We know that change starts with somebody’s insight… but recent
studies tell us more about why some people seems to lack an ability to make decisions based on good insights. Few would deny that to stir the kind of insights that lead to change … is to open the door for transformation that lasts. We also know that … insights are most effective when they arise from a mental process that is led by inner enthusiasm ... and not given to individuals as conclusions in a speech or video. How do you stir enthusiasm for improvements in your field…?
This inner process enables people to experience an adrenaline rush of insight simply because they make mental connections from one good idea to another. Some call it the Aha… a moment of insight that tends to bring a positive and energizing experience. That rush of enthusiasm which is central to leading change that relates to new ideas… comes mainly to those who cultivate curiosity. What do you think…?
Drawing a blank …on the other hand… is frequently observed in people with schizophrenia. Relationships have been noted between poor insight, clinical symptoms and cognitive impairments that relate poor insight to neuro-anatomical measures. The research results suggest that poor insight is significantly related to schizophrenic psychopathology, and shows a keen relationship between lack of insight and poor decision making. Any insights to share?

Stir enthusiasm by getting employees involved to the lowest level. Make them feel a part of the team by not simply assigning tasks, but giving them a view of the big picture. Tell them WHY something must be done, and they will do it vigorously. Getting your work force involved leads to those insights which can lead to improvements in your organization. Insight...ideas with reasoning...intuition...do you believe in intuition? I think of intuitive reasoning vs mathematical probability. when should we trust our inner instincts?
