Ethical accounting starts with a set of basic beliefs held by accountants, beliefs which impact an entire information system. At its roots ethical accounting identifies, records, and communicates financial information to decision makers, using accepted ethical principals of right and wrong. By ethical principles we mean those codes or beliefs that govern the conduct of ethical accounting practices.
