Views you see can expand what you do… and land you better results for your efforts…. ![]()
I was interested in a study published in the May issue of Psychological Science which showed how people's racial identity influences what they see. Take it a step further and see how people’s view of a thing expands what they can do and achieve in life. Now that I think of it – this could also be an argument against red neckism.
In the study researchers asked participants who had one Black and one White parent… to reflect on their Black parent's ethnicity. Check out their findings…which showed that people’s visual perception is changed by what they think is so… and one-sided vision too often limits what think we can do in life….
This blog gets comments from wonderful thinkers who see things from different windows and they help us to move from tower to tower in the MITA castle to see yet another fresh vision for our day. At this moment I might be looking into a flower garden and imagining a floral arrangement that a friend Ruth described earlier today. An hour from now I might look out to the castle parking lot and reflect on ways we can keep lots of green in our fast paced world. Then I could move to another tower and look at the sky to see bright sunshine that reminds me to water the flowers outside…. Are you still moving into new towers with me to see how what we do is expanded when we expand our vision. At the MITA International Brain Based Center … we call this brain based business because it seems to make sense that we move from mental domain to domain …through the kinds of tips you see here at Brain Based Business. It’s much like moving from tower to tower in your own castle….
Hey, if you decide to step outside your unique towers ...to glance at a problem you face from another view …. could you stop by and tell us about any exciting new solutions you caught because an angle changed….
