When you think about it… no wonder so many differences show up in
how we do things at work… Worker approaches differ because each of our brains is wired differently…. Add to that ... the fact that men’s and women’s brains differ biologically...in the way they are designed.... Factor in mental differences ... and it only makes sense that people get to the same standards in different ways.
No question...differences are not easy to measure ... because that involves looking at the complex ways we think and solve problems differently. There are interesting studies at RORK at Work that show simple games tracked differences partially but only in a limited way….
Differences in work approaches can be measured and tracked through a MITA survey of people's multiple intelligence approaches…. The idea here is that whenever workers lead with their strengths at work… they are likely using one intelligence that scored higher on this survey…. In the best work environments they build action plans that will energize their best capabilities.
Why not start with the survey and see where you end up.... How’d you come out… and what does it say about differences you could unpack to bring a project idea to the peaks…?
